1. TALLEBUDGERA CREEK, TALLEBUDGERA, GOLD COAST
This idyllic spot offers a choice of 2 sides – on the northern side of the river is a small cove that’s unpatrolled but offers a great environment for a romantic picnic, families may prefer the southern side of the river which is patrolled by surf life savers and also offers facilities such as a kids playground and toilets. Tallebudgera Creek is a popular spot for swimming and SUP (Stand Up Paddleboarding).
2. PALM BEACH PARKLANDS, GOLD COAST
Located right on our doorstep, this park offers an expansive grassy area overlooking Palm Beach, along with barbecue facilities, and one of the best kids playgrounds on the Gold Coast; Treasure Island Playground. It’s the perfect place to pull up a patch of grass and enjoy the outdoor lifestyle that the Gold Coast is so famous for.
3. BURLEIGH HEADS, GOLD COAST
Take your pick of sand or grass and enjoy a day in the sun at Burleigh Heads. This patrolled beach also offers several kids playgrounds, public amenities, plus shops and restaurants nearby – so you’re guaranteed of a fun day out with plenty to do. Hit the waves for a swim or surf, enjoy the view from Burleigh Headland or time your visit to be there for the Burleigh Art and Markets (last Sunday of each month).
