WHALE WATCHING

Whale Season usually runs from late May to November each year on the Gold Coast.

During this time you can see the majestic creatures of the deep as they make their migration first to the warmer waters up North, then as they come back down South again.

The Gold Coast is a fantastic whale watching destination with many tour companies offering whale watching cruises, and most guarantee whale sightings. There are tours departing from Coolangatta, Surfers Paradise and Main Beach. There are also whale watching packages that combine Sea World or Dreamworld entry to help you save.

Visit our Gold Coast tour booking page to find a Queensland Whale Watching tour to suit you. Our friendly reception team can also help you with your attraction and tour bookings during your stay.

Currumbin Sands on the Beach is located right by the beach – be sure to keep a look out for whales frolicking and breeching off-shore!
