If you’re looking for an outing off the tourist path, take a scenic drive through the Currumbin Valley to Currumbin Rock Pools.
Sunbathe on the large flat rocks, explore the gently sloping rocks with the kids, or sit back on the banks and enjoy a picnic with friends and family while you watch the water in the creek bubble over the rocks.
There are great sections for cooling off with a refreshing swim, such as the eastern end of the pool. (But do be aware that there are no lifeguards on patrol.)
